A downloadable dream for Windows, macOS, and Linux

“For meget drøm” is a game where you look for treasures from the real world on the surface of a surrealistic colourful planet inhabited with strange monsters, plants, buildings and even cars.

When you find a treasure from reality the planet begins to collapse.

Do you choose dream or reality? The dream repeats if you fall, but confronting all the 'real' items will maybe let you wake up...

Features: hand drawn doodles on a crumbling planet, 'real' 3D objects, water colour textures, awesome music and audio from an old 80's sampling keyboard... and other dreamy stuff!

Notes:

  • Made a few bug-fixes after the deadline.
  • The game fades and quits when you collect all the items, waking you up from the dream!
  • The Linux version has not been tested yet. Let us know if it works!

Simply one of the best altgames I played in a while. This colorful dreamscape really fascinated me and I loved how you managed to establish some kind of narrative scenario without a clear storyline; at least I found my own interpretation of it all, without that I'd ever dare to say that it'd be the 'correct' one. But - and that's the reason why I find that important - you've given me the feeling that there could be a story. Just some small hints, without being too direct about it. That was impressive. Also, it's an absolute joy to see the planet cracking up over and over again. So it was a real pleasure for me to write a longer, praising article about your Nordic Game Jam 2018 entry  and also to upload a quick gameplay video. Keep up the fantastic work! <3

Best wishes,
Sebastian

Thank you so much for your kind words + extra words Sebastian! It really means alot to us. For me and Lasse it was our first game jam and none of us knew eachother from the beginning. It was an amazing journey and I am so glad it happened. It was really intense work so much fun to do. We all seemed to have a unspoken sense of the direction the game was taken from the beginning. Kristian was an amazingly skilled unity builder. Lasse did 3d modelling and drawings and I did drawings and sound. We used a plugin called doodle 95. When we presented the game in the 2 minutes on stage everything went wrong and the sound didnt work. HDMI insanity...  Even though Game jam was pure magic... I will be there next year!  Keep up the good work!!  All the best Claus/ For meget drøm

Wow, thank you for your kind reply, Claus! <3 I'm always amazed what first-time-participants can create in game jams, and I must say that your work with Kristian was something really special and beautiful. :) It's too bad that your presentation didn't work out this time, but hell, that shouldn't disappoint you or even take your enthusiasm away to participate again! That was a great jam game and I hope that more people will give it a try. <3

All the best to you too! :)
